Store shed and concrete road, Balcombe, West Sussex

This construction project of a new storage shed and concrete road in Balcombe, West Sussex required a combination of civil engineering and construction expertise.

Firstly, the preparation and production of the foundations and concrete base for the new storage shed were put in place before erecting the steel building.

The existing road access required grading and regulating with a 300 mm layer of type 1 recycled crushed concrete. 150mm form work with A252 reinforcing mesh on 50mm reinforcing spacer was then added on the overall surface. The surface was then topped with 150 mm of C35 concrete, tamped and with a trowelled edge to finish.
