New garage and driveway, Smallfield, Surrey

A private customer in Smallfield, Surrey, contacted us with a brief to landscape the surrounds of their property and add a concrete base for a new garage.

The first part of the project was the installation of the garage base which was built with a 450mm tow and two layers of reinforcing mesh before pouring the concrete and leveling to finish.

The driveway, that surrounds the house and lawns, required leveling and a 10mm layer of shingle on the finished surface. To keep the shingle contained, brick edgings were hand-laid around the entire perimeter of the driveway.

To finish the patio at the front of the house our customer wanted hand-laid bricks set within grey paving slabs in a herringbone pattern to echo the driveway surrounds and the herringbone brick inlay surrounding the front door. The finished results work beautifully with the surrounding garden, lawns and borders.
